The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, is set to host another edition of his Vehicle Subsidy initiative, which will see foreign-used cars worth at least N8 million sold for just N1 million.
This initiative is part of activities marking the church’s youth anniversary week, which concludes on Sunday, October 12, 2025.
In a video, the prophet was seen test-driving the vehicles, affirming that they are in perfect condition for those fortunate enough to benefit from this unprecedented gesture.
According to available information, this edition of the subsidy is exclusive to youth members of the church. A previous edition held months ago was open to all members of the congregation.
Speaking on the motivation behind the initiative, Primate Ayodele explained that it is aimed at empowering young people in the church and, by extension, contributing to national development.
He noted that with the current economic realities, it is increasingly difficult for the average Nigerian youth to afford a car, even for business purposes. This, he said, inspired his decision to intervene.
He also called on the federal government to create more youth-focused empowerment programmes to build a better future for the country.
“Buying foreign-used cars in Nigeria has become nearly impossible for many youths. Prices are rising daily, and even those who want to use vehicles for ride-hailing services like Uber and Bolt can’t afford them.
“I love to see young people succeed, and it pains me deeply to see how much they struggle to get ahead in this country,” he said.
“We condemn those involved in illegitimate businesses, but what are we doing to support those with legitimate ones? This is my contribution to improving the lives of Nigerian youths. It goes beyond our church—it’s for the nation at large,” Primate Ayodele stated.
He also used the opportunity to urge the Nigerian government to introduce more empowerment initiatives targeted at youth development.
“Our youths are the future of this nation. Let’s support them now to secure a better tomorrow for Nigeria,” he added.
It’s worth noting that Primate Ayodele has a track record of car donations, especially to church members and journalists. During his annual Thanksgiving programme in February 2025, he gave out five vehicles, continuing a tradition he has upheld for over five years.
The 2025 Youth Anniversary, declared open last Sunday by the prophet, has featured several impactful activities—ranging from widow and elderly outreach, visits to tertiary institutions, to free medical programmes.
