In the last 24 hours or thereabout, there has been a trending news about Primate Ayodele saying that the current governor of Oyo state, Governor Seyi Makinde, will emerge the next president of Nigeria come 2027. The news has been generating tons of comments and eliciting debates online as regard the logic and political possibility of a Governor Seyi Makinde becoming the next president of Nigeria by 2027. Everyone knows the founder and leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church very well, he does not talk losely. He is very guarded in his statements and pronouncement of his prophecies. Primate Ayodele does not talk to grandstand or dance to the gallery just to please certain people. He only speaks when God speaks to him. And he will deliver the message given to him by God without adding or subtracting from it. He tells you as it is. It does not bother him whether the message sits well with you or not, his primary responsibility is to deliver God’s message, what you do with it is your business.
City People reached the man of God for confirmation on the trending news. We wanted to know if he indeed pronounced that Governor Seyi Makinde will become President of Nigeria by 2027. And surprisingly, the ever blunt and confident man of God has this to say: “You know some journalists can be very funny. Sometimes, when they do not understand something, they just draw their own conclusions and go to the public space to feed the public with an information that is completely unfounded and untrue. That’s why I keep emphasising that, when we talk about prophecy, some people don’t understand it all. That’s why I am not comfortable when I see some mischievous bloggers use my prophecies anyhow they like. Most of the time, they twist these prophecies and use them to suit their own personal objectives. But I thank God for all of that, we will continue to do our best to ensure that the prophecies we put out there are not misrepresented in any way or form.”
We asked the man of God who has been enjoying massive global apeal in the last couple of years owing to his outstanding prophecies that spread beyond the Nigerian shores to tell us where the whole Governor Makinde story emanated from. “Well, I never said Governor Makinde will become President in 2027, why would I say that when I am not God. All I said was that Governor Makinde should also begin to make consultations to prepare ground for him to move to the next level, that’s all I said. And the next level can be anything. Whatever it is, when the time approaches for Makinde, God will reveal it if there is anything to reveal. He can be president tomorrow, but has God spoken to me that he will be president? No. I have not heard God say so. I have gotten calls from everywhere, from people all over the world, demanding to know if what they read is true. And I am saying it categorically now that it is not true, I did not say any such thing. People are just saying it to suit their own purpose. This is the way people twisted my prophecy on Saraki few years ago, what I said is not what was published.”
So, why has his comment on Makinde been twisted? “People have been so mischievous when it comes to our prophecies and that is why sometimes, we need to keep emphasising and re-emphasisig what we said so that it will not be twisted for selfish purposes. For instance, Edo state, what I told them is that, if they vote APC, Edo people will suffer! Edo state will become stagnant under APC. Edo state will be under a curse. If they vote APC, Edo state and its people will not flourish or excel in their endeavours. There will be no joy for anybody in Edo state again. APC as a party in Edo state will be a disaster. Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party is a future governor. PDP is far better than APC and that man, Asue Ighodalo, will be a much better governor for Edo state. But, mark my words, Asue Ighodalo and the current governor, Obaseki, will fight and their fight will be so terrible that the House of Assembly will be divided. You can see, this prophecy now, I am saying it whole heartedly, categorically.”
He also reacted to the upcoming Ghana and US elections: “As for the forthcoming Ghana elections, I will make pronouncements in a few days. Same for the US presidential elections.”
And what does the popular man of God have to say about the ongoing fuel situation in the country and the cabal holding the country to ransom? “I have said it that Mele Kyari is killing the country. I have said it before and I will stand by it. If Tinubu doesn’t remove Kyari, we will buy petrol for N1200 per liter. I said then that if we don’t buy fuel at N1200 per liter, then let people say I am not a prophet. Is that not happening now? Are people not buying it at N1200 or more in some parts of the country? He has to remove Kyari. And ontop of all these, they will still bring in adulterated petrol. And let me say this again, Dangote refinery will not change anything. It will not bring down the price of petrol, let Nigerians know this now so that they can prepare themselves for very tough days ahead. They have destroyed NNPC, there is no miracle Dangote will do, Mele Kyari has to go if President Tinubu is serious about making petrol affordable and available.”
