Celica Church of Christ Concludes 34th Prophets and Prophetesses Anniversary in Grand Style

 

The Celica Church of Christ concluded its week-long 34th Anniversary of Prophets and Prophetesses on Sunday, August 30, 2026, with a colourful grand finale at the Church’s International Headquarters, Km 7, New Ife Road, Celica Junction, Ibadan.

The 2026 celebration, held from Monday, August 24 to Sunday, August 30, was themed “OLUWA ni Imọlẹ Mi Ati Igbala Mi” — “The Lord is My Light and My Salvation”, taken from Psalm 27:1.

A Week of Spiritual and Humanitarian Activities 

The anniversary opened on Monday, August 24, with the registration of prophets and prophetesses.  
Tuesday featured a Special Revival Service.  
On Wednesday, the St. Agnes Adeonigbagbe Foundation spearheaded a medical outreach and distribution of gifts, extending the church's celebration beyond the sanctuary to the community.  
Thursday was dedicated to the Prophets and Prophetesses Night Vigil.  
Friday hosted a Musical Night and Special Vigil with ministrations from gospel artistes including Peter Wonder,Debra Classic, Temitope Miracle, Evang. Adegoke and Prophet Omo Iyin.  
Saturday featured a Baptism Lecture followed by Baptism of new converts into the Celica faith.

Grand Finale and Key Dignitaries
 
The week culminated on Sunday with an Anointing Service for priests, prophets and church elders, followed by a special Thanksgiving Service.

The grand finale drew the top hierarchy of the church. In attendance were:  
The Spiritual Head, Revd. (Dr.) Emmanuel Adetunji Adeonigbagbe; the Supreme Head, Revd. Olujimi Adeonigbagbe; the Celica Mother, Anointed Mother Superior Busayo Alade; and the Head, Council of Anointed Prophets & Prophetesses, Pastor Adetunji Adeonigbagbe (Jnr.).  
Also present were the Head of Administration, Anointed Prophet Dr. Olukunle Abimbola; the Cathedral Bishop, Anointed Prophet Abraham Oyeniyi; Directors of the Council of Prophets and Prophetesses, Anointed Prophet Oyegbile Oladepo and Anointed Prophetess Dolapo Ogunleye; alongside International Headquarters Officials,parish pastors and representatives from across Nigeria and abroad.

Awards and Sermon Highlights

As part of the finale, an Award of Excellence was presented to Elder Odunlade Lucas Gbemiga in recognition of his outstanding service, and peace and development initiatives during his tenure as President of Celica Ifeoluwatedo/Ifesowapo Community, Ibadan.

Delivering the sermon titled “Be Humble”, the Spiritual Head, Revd. (Dr.) Emmanuel Adetunji Adeonigbagbe, urged ministers and members to remain humble, stressing that spiritual gifts and positions are entrusted by God.  


He further charged all priests, prophets and elders to guard the sanctity of their calling, declaring that he had never been associated with any occult group since his call. He recounted that his divine mandate, which began in 1992, was reinforced by a spiritual appearance of the Anointed Prophets &  Founders, St. Moses Orimolade Tunolase of Cherubim & Seraphim Church, St. Joseph Ayo Babalola of Christ Apostolic Church, and St. Samuel Bilewu Oshoffa of Celestial Church of Christ who passed the spiritual baton to him to continue the work of delivering the oppressed and preaching the salvation of Christ.


In his closing remarks, the Spiritual Head described the anniversary as more than a celebration, but a renewal of the church's commitment to faith, service and legacy.

The week ended with prayers of thanksgiving for God's faithfulness and a renewed call for prophets, prophetesses, elders and members to continue in humility and dedication to God's work.
