The President -General of Maritme Workers' Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Francis Bunu Abi celebrates with Muslims in Nigeria and across the globe as he propagates the message of Prophet Mohammad (Peace be unto Him), that we must continue to follow and abide with the Prophet's footsteps, teachings and above all, love, which the Prophet emphasized on emphatically, given the four tenets of Islam as the world celebrates the Prophet's Mohammad birthday.
The MWUN PG also used the occasion to admonish Nigerians on the forthcoming elections in the country to emulate and imbibe in them the spirit of peace and love as preached and practiced by the Prophet while on earth.
Comrade Bunu, further said that for us Nigerians, we should fundamentally reflect soberly on the teachings of the Prophet, most especially at this present situation of our country, where Nigerians have been massacred in their numbers, displaced, while some have been taking into hostages, some also taken into forceful marriages; which is a crime against humanity especially in most areas in the north and some parts of Southern Nigeria.
The sad situation in the northern parts of the country is indeed condemnable because as Nigerians, we must live together as one without fear but in peace and harmony, irrespective of tribe, tongue or religion because in the presence of God, we are all one from His source of creation; therefore, we must imbibe with the teachings of the Almighty Allah, the most merciful and benevolent; and at this crucial period of Nigeria's political weather, we must all embrace love, peace and unity to live as one family according to Islamic injunctions.
Accordingly, Comrade Bunu also used the occasion of the Eid Maulud to thank Nigerians over their resilience in the face of hardship and terrorism, kidnappings for ransom, believing same that sooner than later, there would be a wholesome light of hope, progress and abundance from the tunnel for every Nigerian.
While wishing all Nigerians a happy Eid Maulud, the President -General of the Union also extended his faith of fellowship to Muslims across the globe.
