It has become common knowledge that one of Nigeria’s biggest merchant of lies, the lady many describe as one that ‘can lie for Africa’, Funke Ashekun, has been thoroughly humiliated by MFM and Dr. Olukoya. Her humiliation took place following the Baltimore Court ruling in the United States that favoured Olukoya and MFM and left her and her husband not just in huge debt but in critical health condition which required medical personnel to come to their rescue. It was a significant judgement that brought closure to a bitter, protracted case and cleared the General Overseer and the ministry of all malicious allegations and lies spread on social media by Funke Ashekun and her co-travelers.
For those who are not familiar with the story, Funke Ashekun is a former MFM member turned enemy of the ministry. Incidentally, many will be shocked to know she remains one of those, who, as a former member, has benefited the most from both Dr. Olukoya and the ministry. Today, Funke Ashekun is not just an unrepentant adversary of the ministry and its founder, she also leads a large army of allies and co-haters of MFM whose covenant with Funke Ashekun is brutally simple - pull down Olukoya and MFM at all cost even if it's the last thing you do! And what is their biggest weapon? Lies! Blatant, baseless, inconceivable lies! Funke and her cohorts concoct some of the most despicable allegations and, motivated by huge monetary inducements from Funke, they agree to either appear in court to testify against Dr. Olukoya and MFM or go on social media to spew all manner of lies against the man and his church. Either way, they get handsomely rewarded by Funke for their efforts.
Most of her soldiers are paid mercenaries who themselves were former members of MFM. And because, like Funke, many of them were embittered by their unceremonious exit from the church on account of one misconduct or the other, it was easy for Funke who had begun recruiting allies who would work with her on the 'Pull down Olukoya and MFM at all cost' project, to recruit these diabolic elements. In otherwords, they were eager to become willing tools in her senseless, shameless and vengeful war.
Many would be shocked to know the length Funke had gone to, to recruit other embittered former members who were willing to join her in her money driven vendetta against Dr. Olukoya and MFM. She had members within the church who were paid to give her information about critical developments going on in the church. Any incident within the ministry that shouldn't get to the public gets to Funke almost immediately. If an erring senior pastor or member is facing disciplinary committee, it gets to Funke. If a pastor has been redeployed from his previous station or demoted for whatever reason, it gets to Funke. Her informants made sure nothing slips past her knowledge. And when old members exit the church under unfavourable circumstances, she goes after them and throws irresistible offers at them to be recruited in her shameless army of ungrateful enemies of Dr. Olukoya and MFM.
Starting with Ashekun herself, whose long and endless list of support offered her by the General Overseer and the church would soon be made public, the following is a list of some of Ashekun's soldiers and how they were recruited into her army of greedy, shameless, demented individuals. It must be noted though, that quite a handful of them were wise enough to wake up in time, open the veil covering their eyes and find that Funke was only using them to make money and pursue a personal vendetta against Dr. Olukoya and not a quest for justice as she makes them believe.
Let us start with one of her closest allies, Yewande Roberts. She bought her over by opening a salon for her and paying her children’s school fees. There’s also Richard Ayotunde, she sent him over $20,000 within one year just to have him do her bidding in her relentless quest to destroy Dr. Olukoya.
We must give Amos (the accountant) some credit. She initially bought him over, but his conscience made him have a rethink and expose her. She was stunned when he turned against her and chose to stand by the truth, which is the fact that Dr. Olukoya is a good man who never did anything to wrong him, Funke Ashekun or any other member of their army for that matter
Another very credible individual is Mr. Taiwo (the second accountant). She tried to buy him too, but he turned against her and exposed her as well. But with characters such as Wale Akpeji (the fugitive criminal), she openly stated on her program that she spent over 8 million naira on him. And she did use him very well to earn the money she spent on him. Unstable men without scruples often lack integrity, it was no surprise that she bought him over so easily.
Sunday Olowoyeye, another one of her most reliable soldiers. She openly spoke on her program about spending money on him. This was also confirmed by Sunday Olowoyeye himself. Another character she had complete influence over is Femi Jimoh. She claimed to be taking care of him, even while he was in the hospital.
She went for Debby’s son as well. She tried to buy him so he could convince his mother to join her charade. In fact she gave the young man the sum of 120,000 naira but it didn’t work out the way she wanted. And just as she tried getting the son, she went after the mother, Debby, as well. She made several attempts to buy her over; when it failed, she resorted to blackmail.
Another character without credibility was Caleb and Funke was able to buy him over with money, just as she did with Femi Jimoh.
For Joy Igene, she was bought over after Dr. Olukoya closed the door of mercy against her because of her promiscous lifestyle.
One other person she didn’t quite succeed with was Mrs. Omotosho. She tried to recruit her by promising to take her to America if she testified; when the woman only asked she takes her daughter instead , Funke got angry.
What about Shola (Fisayo’s fiancé)? She contacted him through Wale with the promise to take him abroad if he joined their camp. There is evidence available to prove this. She also contacted him as well.
Yemisi Ajayi’s case is an interesting one and she must get tons of credit for sense of fairness and honesty. Funke tried to get her to testify that Dr. Olukoya killed her brother, offering her money, but she refused.
All her fake witnesses – She applied for American visas for them so they could seek asylum like her; they were all denied, and her money, time, and energy went to waste. She also bought Uber for Tolu Onakpoya so that she can testify against Dr Olukoya in court. Let her come and deny this if she can.
Let it be on record that these are not just baseless allegations, there are evidences to support these claims if she wants to deny them. These are proofs that, unlike what she wants the public to believe, these people did not come to meet Funke on their own seeking for justice, she went after them. She sought them out and recruited them into her army of disgruntled, money seeking criminals. And today, despite their spirited efforts to bring Dr. Olukoya to disrepute, they are the ones who continue to experience humiliation and failure. Every single day, their camp becomes depleted as one member or the other pulls out of the satanic conspiracy to bring down a good man who’s done nothing but offered them kindness when they had no where to turn to.
They haven’t seen anything yet. God has not even started with them. Very soon, the wrath of the Lord will sweep through their camp and it shall become desolate. It may take God a while to react, but when he finally does, it shall be swift. He who has an ear, let him hear, a word is enough for the wise.
