It is no longer news that Primate Ayodele is perhaps the most talked about man of God at this time. It is also not in contention that he has emerged as the prophet with the most accurate prophecies in the last couple of decades. Primate Elijah Ayodele’s confounding prophecies have gone beyond the shores of the country, speaking truth to power even to some of the most powerful leaders in the world. But there is a part of the leader and founder of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual church that many do not know - his philanthropic side!
Those who have followed closely Primate Ayodele’s trajectory are fully aware of his massive philanthropic investments. Not many men of God can match the philanthropy of Primate Ayodele. The man is phenomenal. His members have benefitted massively from his large heart. He genuinely cares about their well being. And same goes for those within his community and outside of it. Everywhere he goes, he leaves his mark as a profound humanitarian, philanthropist and respected man of God.
Primate Ayodele once again displayed his genuine love for humanity, particularly for young students living with disabilities when he stormed YABA Tech for a programme designed to support students living with disabilities tagged, “Voices of Resilience,” with the theme, “Building a Culture of Care, Promoting Inclusion, Empathy and Support for Students with Disabilities, Sickle Cell Disorder and Genotype Sensitization.”
The event, which had notable personalities from the academia in attendance, took off with two students with disabilities making profound speeches that set the appropriate tone for the occasion. The two young ladies, one living with sickle cell anemia while the other suffers fom albinism, shared a bit of their challenges while also expressing their resolve to overcome their adversities. The hall erupted in loud cheers as the young ladies gave inspiring speeches.
Shortly after their speeches and the national anthem had been recited, speakers at the occasion were introduced and set to make their speech. But the moment the chairman of the occasion, Primate Ayodele Elijah was called on stage for his recitation and speech, the hall came alive with frenetic excitement. Many who had only heard of the name Primate Ayodele but had never seen him physically were stunned to see that it was the same hugely popular Primate Ayodele who had been sitting in their midst all the while.
In his speech, Primate Ayodele berated the government and prominent members of the society who deliberately shun programmes like the one in question because it does not afford them the opportunity to spray money on musicians and flaunt their wealth before the society.
“They are supposed to be here,” he lamented. “Lagos state government officials should be here to support these students with disabilities. Local government chairmen and even men of God much bigger than me ought to be here. It shouldn’t just be about performing miracles inside your church, they should be out here supporting young people who are trying to stand on their feet. And I am talking about men of God much bigger than me. These are the things they can do that will remain in the memories of everyone for a very long time to come.”
Known for always speaking truth to power, no matter who is involved, Primate Ayodele encouraged the students with disabilities to continue to believe in themselves and urged them to stay focused and not to be distracted from their goals and objectives. Then came the big moment when the globally renowned man of God announced that he had made a donation of N2million naira to support the students. The students became delirious with joy. They got on their feet and began clapping fo several minutes. They never saw it coming. The donation of N2million naira will go a long way in helping the students afford some basic things that ordinarily would’ve taken them a lot of stress to get.
It will be recalled that, only a few weeks ago, over 100 students of University of Lagos and YABA Tech were given about 50,000 each to support them. Primate Ayodele has continued to show that he is not just an accomplished man of God, he is a man with a heart of gold. Little wonder why many have been asking, “will we ever find a few more men of God who genuinely care the people round them? Only time will tell. Only time will tell….
