The founder and leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, is once again set to make another bold statement in his quest to offer financial support to young students to enable them achieve their desire to become graduates and accomplished individuals in life. But the enigmatic prophet of God has taken things a notch higher this time. He is not lending a helping hsnd to the regular able bodied students, he has chosen to focus exclusively on students with disabilities.
Come November 6, 2025, Primate Ayodele will storm the YABA College of Technology to support with cash dozens of students with disabilities who are struggling to see themselves through school. Many of these students with disabilities have been finding it hard to meet up with the financial demands of their education. On November 6, 2025, Primate Ayodele will offer them a bit of succour, giving out several millions in cash to these young and promising students with bright future. Many will recall that, only a couple of weeks ago, at the annual Thanksgiving anniversary of the INRI youths, dozens of YABA Tech and UNILAG students who attended were given a 50k each, numbering about 150 students in all. It was his own token grant towards supporting their education. Primate Ayodele has never hidden his clamour for the education of the Nigerian youth and he has ceaselessly demonstrated this, time and time again, with his many empowerment programmes and educational grants targeted at supporting the educational aspirations of the youths. But this time, the globally recognised man of God is focusing solely on the students with disabilities. And he is so passionate about it.
Hear him: “I want to support the students of the institution with some financial support that will come in form of cash assistance to help them augment the little they get from their parents and guardians. The whole idea is to ensure that they are able to graduate from the institution like other able bodied students and become promising young men and women in the society.
I was invited on account my antecedents, especially in the area of supporting the education many young less privileged student and offering them educational grants to enable them actualise their dreams and aspirations. The well being of the youths is something that is of great concern to me because they are indeed the leaders of tomorrow, but we must rally round them, support them and equip them with every support they need today.
I am not the only pastor in Nigeria, but I adhere strictly when God speaks to me. In a year, I assist nothing less than 7000 youths, within and outside my church. Youths within my community who are not members of my church have benefitted greatly from my philanthropic gestures. Every year, I part with millions of naira to support these helpless youths who are desirous of university education but need one form of financial assistance or the other. I have offered support to several schools and donated generously towards their inter house sport events and with several of them requesting to put my name on their building. Many of these schools, I do not even personally know, I only lend a helping hand when thy write to me requesting for financial assistance.
For YABA Tech, they just wrote to me, I didn’t have any engagement with them until I got a letter from them. I didn’t think twice about it, I felt this was a call I must respond to, it was my social responsibility as a father and as a Prophet of God. So, this coming November 6, I will be at YABA Tech myself to meet with these students with disabilities and offer them hope of a much brighter tomorrow.
Let me also use this opportunity to inform the public that I intend to set up a School of Mass Communication and Research. I intend to go into some form of partnership with YABA Tech on this. I have experts who will run the institution like Professor Rosemary Isibor. She is an educationist, a very experienced and qualified professional.”
This gesture is only one of the many student empowerment programmes done periodically by Primate Ayodele. No doubt about it, the man is a prophet with a difference. While other men of God are busy lavishing their resources on their wives, children and immediate families, Primate Ayodele is always busy thinking of ways he can continue to impact society and put smiles on the faces of the needy within and outside his community. This is why some concerned individuals have asserted that, if we can have a few dozens of other men of God who can share Primate Ayodele’s philosophy and passion for the less privileged, the world would be a much better place for all to live in, don’t you agree?
