In the Christian community in Naija, there are several prophets who appear to be dragging the image of the religion in the mud. They have polarised the church and have made it an all comers affair. For most of these prophets, running a ministry is nothing but big business. It is about the money. This is why many pastors prefer to preach about prosperity and nothing else. They compel their members to make endless offerings and pledges, claiming they will be refunded in dozen folds by God. And they back up their claims with false declarations and prophecies. They are part of the reasons why many say churches are now a scam.
But there are still a few men of God that have distinguished themselves from the rest. They have proven that they are not prosperity preaching pastors neither are they men of God who claim to have heard from God when indeed they heard nothing from God. These men of God do not speak unless God has spoken to them. And rather than compel members of their church to make endless offerings, tithes and donations, they are the ones who expend their hard earned resources from profits made from their personal businesses on the members of their church who are in dire need of financial support. And if truth be told, the founder and spiritual leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual church, Primate Ayodele Elijah, is one of those very few men of God who have distinguished themselves clearly from the rest of the pack.
No matter what anybody says, the man has proven that he is unique. He is special. And he has proven it time and time again by his humongous empowerment projects that many within and outside his church have benefitted from. But, the part about Primate Ayodele that has brought him immense popularity, is his outstanding prophecies. For so many years, over three decades and still counting, this incredible prophet of God has been consistently releasing ground breaking prophecies that have come to pass. I fact, he holds the record of being the only prophet that has to his name a compendium of over thirty thousand released prophecies. This is simply staggering. It is something that has brought him recognition from far and near and opened doors for him to meet with political giants, world leaders and other notable personalities within and outside the country. Because of his ability to foretell the future, many powerful Nigerians and prominent African leaders are always courting Primate Ayodele’s friendship. This has earned him lots of huge following and increased his church membership. As we speak, the expansion going on inside his church is unbelievable. The over 20,000 seater Cathedral undergoing construction has been completed. It will be commissioned anytime soon. A lot is working for Primate Ayodele and he is quietly going about his business without making any noise about the massive achievements and expansion his church is undergoing. We also hear he is about starting a radio station. So many great things are happening around this enigmatic man of God. He says it is the grace of God. But it is also the reason why he is being constantly envied by some other self proclaimed men of God such as Prophet Marcus Tibetan and Satguru Maharajm Ji, founder of one Love Family.
For some time now, these two clerics have been attacking Primate Ayodele for no just cause. The man has neither met anyone of them before nor spoken about them. But they have consistently attacked him, claiming that his prophecies are not from God. Yet, they have not been able to come up with any proof to their claim. Neither have they been able to match Primate Ayodele’s consistency and accuracy when it comes to prophecies. But everyone knows that their grouse with Primate Ayodele is beyond prophecies. It is about envy. It is about jealousy.
Days ago, when fielding questions from journalists inside his exquisite looking office, Primate Ayodele was asked why he has not yet given a response to Prophet Marcus Tibetan, and especially Satguru Maharaj Ji, who more recently has been on Primate’s case.
“Sorry, whose name did you just mentioned?” Primate asked with a serious looking expression on his face. He was told Satguru Maharaj Ji was the name mentioned.
“You mean Guguru? I do not have time for that thing,” he answered. “We do not operate on the same level. Any man worth his salt should not be paying attention to the rantings of ordinary ants! My boys, who are at his level, are already responding to him. If I personally respond to him, he won’t like it, both himself and that other one called Tibe…. something, or what does that one call himself? I do not have their time. Their comments mean nothing to me. I cannot come down from the level that I am and stoop low to their level, it does not make any sense. My boys are on their level, they will deal with them, not me. I have too many projects at hand to complete. And a lot of people are waiting for more of our empowerment programmes that will benefit the masses who cannot afford to go to the market and buy food stuff because they are way too expensive for them. We have carried out a lot of palliative markets that have been very successful with huge turn outs. And they have reduced the hardship being experienced by many people. Right now, I am running around, trying to get enough funds to do more of these palliative markets to help the poor masses. So, I am more concerned about things like this. Not about some jobless, irrelevant people who want to use my name to gain popularity!” he concluded.
