Victory for Democracy: National Industrial Court Upholds PMAN National Elections Results

The Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN) is delighted to announce that the outcome of the PMAN National Elections, which took place in Lagos on October 24, 2023, resulting in Pretty Okafor's presidency, has been reaffirmed by the National Industrial Court in Lagos.

In a groundbreaking verdict issued on January 18, 2024, the honorable judge validated Pretty Okafor's leadership, condemning efforts by a faction seeking to exploit an outdated consent judgment at SUIT NO: NICN/LA/272/2015.

The judge unequivocally declared that any resistance to the prevailing judgment amounts to contempt of the court's authority.

This ruling solidifies Pretty Okafor's rightful position as PMAN's President, ensuring stability and continuity in the association's governance. The court's intervention stands as a firm stance against illegitimate actions that could undermine the integrity of the performing musicians' community.

PMAN extends its appreciation to the National Industrial Court for upholding justice and safeguarding the democratic process within the association. Pretty Okafor remains steadfast in his commitment to advancing the interests of Nigerian performing musicians, with this ruling further reinforcing the association's adherence to the rule of law.
